Rev. Showhuei Rachel Hsu
Pastor Rachel was born in a Presbyterian family in Taiwan. Upon receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fu-Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, she proceeded to get a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Western Michigan University in the United States. She had worked in a management position at Michigan Education Data Network Association for years before stepping into full time ministry in 1996. She had served at Partners International (a mission organization), River of Life Christian Church, Agape Renewal Center and Crossroads Publications (a mission education organization) over the years. Together with Pastor Ling-Ling Chang, they founded The Promised Land Ministries International in 2012 and The Promised Land Christian Church in 2017. They have been actively serving Chinese and non-Chinese communities locally and globally to evangelize non-Christians and to edify Christians. Pastor Rachel currently also serves as a certified instructor for Walk Thru The Bible seminars and an affiliated speaker for Agape Renewal Center’s International Leadership Institutes worldwide.
Rev. Ling-Ling Chang
Pastor Ling-Ling was born in Korea and raised in Taiwan. She accepted Christ shortly before graduating from Der-Yu Nursing College in Taiwan. After coming to the States, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Developmental Psychology from Eastern Washington University and her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from National University in California. While working full time as a Registered Nurse, she attended Western Seminar for Biblical and theological education, and for the training in Coaching. In 2008, she partnered with Rev. Rachel Hsu in ministry. Pastor Ling-Ling is very gifted in healing, deliverance, leading worship, and prophetic ministry. Not only does she serve effectively in Christian settings, but she also wins people to Christ at her workplace by channeling God’s signs and wonders to accompany the words that she shares. On October 15 of 2017, Pastor Ling-Ling was ordained at The Promised Land Christian Church to be a Reverend.
Charlene Hu
Charlene was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. She then came to the States, where she earned both of her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Arizona. Later on she became a Christian and got baptized. In 2001, Charlene started working, and has since accumulated much experience through a wide variety of architecture firms in the City of San Francisco. The projects that she had worked on won many awards over the years. She is now the Partner and the Senior Designer of Smithgroup, an architecture and engineering firm. She first attended Rev. Rachel Hsu’s adult Sunday School class in 2002. Through Rev. Rachel’s teaching and coaching, Charlene was born again in 2003, and has since been attending the meetings and classes held by Rev. Rachel, later joined by Rev. Ling-Ling Chang. She became a board member of The Promised Land Ministries International in December of 2017. Later in June of 2018, she also joined the board of The Promised Land Christian Church. She currently resides in the northern part of San Francisco Peninsula with her husband, son, and daughter.
Yinghui Wang
Yinghui grew up in mainland China where she received the Lord following her parents’ footsteps. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Musicology from Zhengzhou University’s School of Music. Later, Yinghui graduated with a Master’s degree in Music Production & Sound Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. She joined her first Sunday service at The Promised Land Christian Church in 2016; the Holy Spirit touched her heart during the service while Pastor Rachel and Pastor Ling Ling led a prayer. Following her initial visit, Yinghui experienced a life transformation through discipleship training and teachings from The Promised Land. Eventually, she became a member of the worship team and served through playing the piano as well as recording and mixing audio. Presently, Yinghui is the Director of Creative Arts Outreach at The Promised Land Ministries International.
