Our Mission
God’s intention for his people does not end with delivering them out of Egypt (being saved and freed from sin’s bondage); it’s also for people to enter the Promised Land (being discipled to live out an abundant and victorious life as promised by God). However, like the Old Testament’s first Israelites who came out of Egypt, some Christians are still lost in the wilderness due to ignorance (Hosea 4:6). Many Christians are merely saved, as described in 1 Peter 4:18, yet lack the understanding of God’s holistic will; they experience suffering on earth without the hope of promised rewards in eternity. According to John 14:3 and John 5:24, the moment a person becomes a Christian, he begins to live an eternal life. In order to live an abundant and victorious life that glorifies God, we must learn to claim the authority and promises he has given us here and now (2 Corinthians 1:20). The Promised Land intends to follow God’s great mission: to teach and train believers to become disciples of the Lord first, and to make disciples of others so that all nations will be blessed through us (Genesis 12:2-3)!
We believe:
The entire Bible is inspired by God and that the original text of the Bible is inerrant. We are committed to rightly dissecting the word of truth; we teach what the Bible teaches, and we do what the Bible tells us to do. Not only do we hear and preach the truth, but we act on it.
The Trinity — God the Father is the creator of heaven and earth. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who died and rose for the sins of mankind; we accept Jesus’ salvation as the Savior and Lord of our personal lives. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, our Comforter, always with us and in us. We submit to the sovereignty of this one and only Triune God.
Discipleship — making ourselves disciples of the Lord and making disciples of all nations. We teach and obey all that the Lord has commanded us as stated in the Great Commission.
